October 6, 2008It’s going to be a delicious evening at the newly refurbished Waco Hilton. This Thursday from 6:00-8:30pm, join the Central Texas Chapter of the Wine Society of Texas as we get together and enjoy two scrumptious wines.
Nieto Reserva Malbec - A deeply-colored, powerful red with great concentration of berry fruit. Complex flavors of plums, figs, and dried fruit with a smoky vanilla character. Juicy fruit and great balance on the finish. Grown in the Mendoza Valley of Argentina, often called the “New Napa Valley.”
Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon – An attractive ruby in color with a very red fruit nose and some chocolate and bay leaf touches. Highly concentrated with strawberry & cherries fruit notes and marked spices. Persistent and balanced. Grown in the Colchagua Valley in Chile, an area named “Wine Region of the Year.”
The price is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Memberships will be available at the event.

Wine Society After Hours Mixer – October 9th
September 26, 2008Our next event is scheduled for Thursday, October 9th 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Hilton Waco in the bar area. We will taste two wines, one from Chile and one From Argentina (TBD). Hors D’oeuvres will be served.
Join us at the beautiful, newly refurbished Hilton in downtown Waco and hang out with other wine lovers.
